Norris has significant experience dealing with international commercial disputes in a variety of disciplines as a facilitative, evaluative or transformative mediator and as an arbitrator.
Norris is widely recognized in the field of mediation, which includes being nominated as “Who's Who Legal ("WWL"): Thought Leaders Global Elite 2020 – Mediation” and has been nominated since 2017 when the list was first compiled by WWL. There are only 20 professionals in the world honoured with this nomination.
Norris is also nominated as “The International Who’s Who of Commercial Mediation 2020” and has been nominated since this list commenced in 2011. He is the first Asian accredited by the International Mediation Institute and the first Hong Kong lawyer honoured as a distinguished international neutral of the CPR Institute (New York).
He is an accredited mediator (general and family) of the Hong Kong Mediation Accreditation Association Limited (HKMAAL), the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) and the Law Society of Hong Kong.
Norris has conducted more than 40 accredited mediation courses in Hong Kong and Macau (training senior government officials, lawyers, accountants, doctors, professions and business executives) and frequently lectures at local universities.
