Jon has 25 years of experience relating to disputes, investigations, and regulatory enforcement matters. He has a rare combination of perspectives from working in private practice, in-house and at a regulator. This includes over 11 years at a top-tier international law firm, 7 years as Asia Pacific head of litigation and investigations for a leading global banking group, and 5 years as Head of Enforcement in the Listing Division of HKEX. He currently serves as General Counsel to Deloitte China.
Jon's experience in private practice and in-house has covered a broad variety of contentious and investigation matters, with particular specialism in financial services and professional services. At HKEX, his practice covered the Listing Rules, regulatory investigations, disciplinary actions, and judicial review litigation.
Jon read law at the University of Cambridge, and is qualified as a solicitor in Hong Kong, a solicitor advocate in England & Wales, and a CEDR-accredited mediator. He is a Member of the Hong Kong Academy of Finance.
